TOOTIES Batam trip!

June 2013: Went for a 3D2N trip with TOOTIES to Batam! The trip was brought up during CNY randomly during one of the meeting at Macdonalds... And coincidentally, all of us could make it during the period mentioned so we quickly noted it down in our notebooks to book the date for this trip!

But in the end, Bong couldn't make it cause she just came back from Korea and she did not dare to take additional leaves :(
So it was almost full team!

Met up at Yew Tee for breakfast at 8am, then trained down to Harbourfront.

Ahh I got boobs, surprisingly. Cause I've been told I lost them after I lost some weight.

Cover up. HAHA

Bad background. Was rushing for the ferry, no time to retake.

Everyone loves this cute looking toy, so cuddly.

Ready to goooo!

Okay the ferry ride was around 45minutes, and the 'custom' to get our passport chopped only had 2 counters opened and this girl that attended to me is super... I don't know what words to use.
When I went to her, she was just finished with the person infront of me then she took out her phone and started to press on it, totally ignoring my presence. So I just stood there for 3 minutes and waited for her to finish her texting then she didn't even look at me and just took my passport and got things done...

After everything's done, Ahxian arranged a private van to bring us around throughout the trip, so we met this guy, a young & I would say not-bad looking driver, who brought us to our accommodation!
I don't remember the guy's name and we didn't take photo with him.
Yes though I said he's not bad looking but after knowing him for awhile I don't have a very good impression of him. HAHA he's so noisy and kept making remarks about me being fat.
Sorry, me don't like it, we ain't that close for you to make remarks like this :(
But he's still nice afterall, he recommended us to places and even go out of his way to bring us to a pub to chill even after his 'working hours'. But the pub is like a cui... He said there's live band but they play all Indonesian songs MY GODDDDDDD

Okay so anyway, after putting our stuffs down. The plan for that day was to do some water sports and get our A&W cravings fixed! Mannnn I've been dying for A&W's float and fries for I don't know how long.

My complete meal.
So awesome! Totally forget about the calories this had.
It's all worth it, in my opinion ;)

We had their waffles ice-cream the next day, but sadly, it's not nice...

Then we asked the driver about water sports. Then he brought us to this......... pond?
It was at a ulu-place, and the place has no customers at all.
When we reached there, the staff were just sitting around, swatting flies.
I was expecting like you know, sea.............. but it's really just a huge pond.
But since we're there, we just try it.

We did the banana boat and kayaking. Funny thing is, when we were doing the banana boat, the person asked if we wanted to capsize. Looking at the water, we all didn't want to.
But when we kayaked, the girls were splashing water at each other and we all got wet in the end
-_______-
GIRLS.

Us while we wait for the other team to finish the banana boat.

We split our groups as such:
1. People who wash their hands after eating fried chicken
2. People who just use the water droplets condensed on the cold cup of water then use tissue and wipe the oil off.

Make a guess who belongs to which group ;D

Best shot of the trip IMO.

Phil and I trying to train Hao not to be so shy with girls (like, us, cause we are more aggressive, in some ways.....)

Brought our own towels from the place we were living in.

Talking about accommodation, we rented an apartment (Batam Holiday) instead of a hotel cause we had a big group.
Man the apartment is reallllllly huge. It has 3 rooms and a balcony which faces the sea. Damn nice to sit and chill at the balcony, but the mosquitoes start coming out at night so we had to hide inside after 7pm.
Fully air-conditioned, kitchen, hair dryer, fridge, TV, fan, dining table.... Basically just like a house, a very big place (Okay maybe cause I live in Singapore and we all know our house is almost like a shoebox so I am abit overwhelmed by the size of the apartment LOL).
They also had 2 ladies (they say maid but I don't really like this term) who would come in the morning to clean up the place and refill the water dispenser.
We also requested them to change our towels (machiam hotel) cause we dirtied them :p
Oh, and the ladies are very nice people.
Only problem: 2 toilets only, 7 girls + 1 boy. When it comes to shower time, it's pretty much a nightmare. LOL.

Messing around with Xiaobai's cam while waiting for my turn to shower!

After shower, chilling at balcony, without makeup :s

Lying around in the room while dinner was being prepared.
On the first night, the 2 ladies would come over in the evening to prepare dinner for us.
It was nice... But they took so long to cook. They reached around 5.30pm and dinner was slowly served at 8+.. by then we were SO hungry we just kept eating the rice (the dishes came up one by one real slowly......) and snacks we bought from the supermarket earlier...
So by the time they are done with everything, we were very full (from carbs)

2nd day: Shopping!

We went Nagoya mall and another mall I can't remember which..... Basically what they have are what you can find in Bangkok and they are more expensive than say... Bugis?
I bought a top at SGD17 when my friends got it at SGD10 in Bugis.... So yeah.

Before that, we had lunch at a coffeeshop that sells chinese food, just like Singapore's kopitiam.
Like a stupid right? We should have had their Nasi Padang right? Cause it's their local food right?
Ok story goes like this:

Driver: What do you guys wanna eat for lunch?
Ahxian: Errrm we want to try Nasi Padang, is there any place that sells good Nasi Padang?
Driver: Yeap I know a place, I'll bring you guys there, everyone's okay right?
Ahxian: Hey girls, we go eat Nasi Padang okay?!
Us: OKAY!

3 seconds later....
Xiaobai: I want Tomyum Ban mian!
Philana: *act cute (HAHAHAHA) voice* I want chicken rice!

Then suddenly all the chinese food names started coming out...
We just ignored them cause we always do/say stupid stuffs like this...
When we reached, we got down the van and walked with him, to a coffeeshop.
He sat us down and we ordered drinks...
Looked around the coffeeshop and realised "Eh why no Nasi Padang?"
Then driver started saying "Okay there's Ba Kut Teh, Chicken rice here... You guys can just place your order"

So.... he took it seriously.
But we already ordered drinks.... So we couldn't leave... My friends really........

Timx plaiting my hair for me while we waited for the bracelets with our names on it to be done...

:)

Then comes along loads of camwhorings.....

Proceeded to dinner!

Dinner was at this place that looks abit like Newton (except it's 10 times bigger and there's even a stage with people singing) with many Seafood stalls, and Beer girls...

When we reached, the people were setting the table for us (Big group) and I spotted alot of women in their respective beer uniform standing around, crowding around us, waiting.
The moment we sat down, the whole group of them just SWARM to our table and everyone started asking: " (insert brand of beer) for you?"
All of us were damn shocked and just sat in silence.
The driver asked if we wanted to drink beer, we said no. So he went..
"OK NO BEER!"
Then 90% of them just walked away...
Leaving those that sells Fruit juice and stuff......

That's something new!
Anyway food was really good and cheap! But I wasn't full, my friends were all full.
Maybe I am a pig that's why.
Then he brought us to the pub I mentioned earlier as it was our last day......

We were all drained out by then.......

Reached the apartment around 11pm!
It was Phil's birthday that day so we wanted to 'surprise' her.
We made her go shower first while we started making up.........

My friends loved my makeup :D

Made her wear the doggy nose. Birthday cake was the popular Kueh Lapis (??????) from Batam we bought at Nagoya mall..
Actually I think it's overrated. Not very nice.
Or maybe wrong brand... This one was pretty heavily advertised in Batam.

HAPPY 24TH! Wahlao halfway through 20 already.

Messing around while waiting for our turn to shower.

Xiaobai who tried to remove the crazy makeup for me.
She kept laughing and looking away while doing it! So funny meh my face :(

Fail..... They made me do this pose cause I look like Sun Wu Kong.

Okay, messing around before removing makeup.

Then it was drinking time!!!
Actually we drank on the first day too.
The rest of the photos are pretty much self-explanatory......
And we all could see who were the ones who K.O
We let Phil off cause it's her birthday (2nd night) and she hates drinking.

First night drinking.

The only person who K.O-ed on the first night.

2nd night.

HAHAHAHAHHAHA!

Sometimes toilet bowl will be your best friend.

Yeap she's on an imaginary skateboard!

There's actually many videos but let's keep it super private (not as if this blog is not private enough, no one reads, or if YOU are reading anyway, HELLO! DROP ME A COMMENT SO I KNOW WHO'S READING?).

That night. Hao, Wei, Xian and Xiaobai were gone. Hui and Phil slept early (didn't join us).
Only survivors: Timx and I :D Though we were quite giddy.....

Funniest part was when Hao came out from the room into the toilet..... That was the funniest of allll.....
:D :D :D

So third day, woke up, packed our stuff and getting ready to leave!
Trying to be scary.

Was a mad rush and almost missed the ferry! Damn scary.

Oh Hi, just me and my little boyfriend romantically sitting alone letting the wind blow our faces.
Don't disturb!

Funny looking shades. AYE AYE CAPTAIN!

Pissed at the glaring sun. HAHA

YES YES CAPTAIN. STOP.

LOL Phil trying to push me away from Hao.

Me and my best friend, when she's in trouble. (-_-)

Bong was waiting for us at the Ferry terminal to present Phil a birthday cake and have dinner together!

Group photo!

Dinner was at PastaMania (with 30% discount cause Edwin knows the Manager *YAY*)
then we shared a cab home.

That conclude this wonderful trip with my friends!

I took many hours doing this post up.
Cause the photos were here there everywhere (Facebook, phone, cameras) and I had to search and arrange them accordingly.

Man I'm getting hardworking ;)

Don't let go too soon; but don't hold on too long

Caught this show 2 weeks back and got reprimanded by my friend whom I asked to watch with.
Was quite nice in the first place, then it got so lame and boring we were dying for it to end :S

Visited Sumaiya at her house for Hari Raya gathering with the usual poly people. Nice to see Pearlyn back in Singapore after so many years! Had a nice catch up!
After the girls left, we stayed behind and have no idea why they started sharing ghosts stories and stupid XQ freaked Kit Yee out just by tapping on the table.
And Jian Yun was an ass; he came to sit behind me suddenly and I warned him not to scare me. He said he won't, and I TOTALLY BELIEVED him. So I let my guard down completely, and he gave me such a fright just when Sumaiya was talking about the legs dropping down, I think my soul left me for a micro-second and came back.

Heavy rain after lunch, didn't have umbrella and so we got stuck in Payless and do stupid stuffs.

Met up with Phil & Nick to go Dhoby Ghaut for blood donation!
Poor me, got pricked to test for Haemoglobin to only be told that I couldn't donate cause my Haemoglobin level was low. Then I realised, my period just ended so maybe thats why :( And the doctor says that my blood pressure is on the lower side, weird.
Went for dinner at Maki-san at Cathay. I suggested that place as I've seen my friends posting their sushis on Instagram and it looked nice!
You can customise your sushi by choosing the rice (white or brown), then the ingredients and sauce you want to be wrapped with. I loved it! So niceeeeeee *slurps*
Then to Marble Slab Creamery for ice cream.. Sighs, so sinful.

Met up with Melvin & Bernice after work one day as they said they wanted to give me their wedding invitation. End up Melvin forgot to bring it along (-_-) Anyhoo had a great time catching up with each other and we talked about the stuff we did when I was still active in church. AHH memories :D

Time really flies. I still remembered the first time when Melvin told me secretly that he was dating Bernice for almost a year already and they've been going underground because Bernice's parents were really strict.
At that time, they were always wearing the same color code to church every Sunday and I didn't even thought anything weird about it, thinking it was just coincidence. And it was kept underground for quite a while after he told me. Until when the parents found out it was already about 2 years?
Now they are getting married.

Melvin requested me to do a side-by-side comparison with the old photos we took last time.
I posted it on Facebook/Instagram and my bro told me I really looked damn cui LOL.
The old pic of Mel and I was taken when we just got to know each other when I was 15. We used to hang out ALOT and study outside everyday with Trina and my bro.
Now I know why my crush didn't liked me back last time even though he TRIED to go out with me once after knowing I had a crush on him for a year plus.. I don't blame him, really.
My super flat rebonded hair and a frameless spectacle that is SO tiny, and my ultra round face... I wouldn't go out with myself.

This was when I was 16? Wore contact lenses so not THAT bad. But still... Chubbs.

I bought this peplum dress from Love & Bravery and boy I regret SO damn much. It looked so nice on the model, and I look so OLD in it... Phil said it's the prints. I have a pretty mature face to add on.. So I should avoid this kind of florals :( I was suggesting to keep in my wardrobe until when I'm like 30+.. Hopefully peplum still in trend LOL.

I've not been practiting this for quite awhile.. Been going on an emotional roller coaster and have not been watching what I eat... Everyone said I gained weight. Sighs. I know it's not an excuse... I will work hard from now on. Need the drive.

Was introduced to new workout by Shaun T! It's called Focus T25, whereby you complete the workout in 25minutes! Its alot of high intensity stuff and they don't give you a 30-sec break like how Insanity does, cause... it's only 25minutes.
I do this when I don't have enough time for the day to workout. Like when I'm going out on weekends or I come home late from work.
Insanity takes about 1hour, excluding the time for me to cool down and shower), so I go to T25!
It's only 25minutes but man I sweat alot! But it's pretty tough on my mind because sometimes you get so tired you want a break, but you think of it being only 25minutes and it'll be over and you don't want to waste the time resting, and you have to keep pushing.
It's definitely easier than Insanity.. But I still prefer Insanity cause I can take 30secs break :p

Yiru and I sending photos of ourselves after our workout. I always send to her to motivate her to workout. We do different exercises though. I do home workouts but she has her classes at gyms.. She kept asking me to go try out her spin class and combat classes and said it's good... Maybe soon!

Ending with a photo of my round chubby cheeks...
I NEED MY DRIVE BACK.
Need to start planning... If not I won't do anything.
